A Bustling Town Center with Private Enclaves

Edwards, located west of of Vail and Beaver Creek, is home to many locals and second-home owners alike.

Edwards is a highly sought after community for its convenience to surrounding areas both east and west, including: Vail and Beaver Creek and Arrowhead Ski areas, Red Sky and Sonnenalp Golf Courses, and Eagle County Airport. The neighborhood offers the best of Colorado, with over 72 acres of hiking and biking trails, world-class fishing on the Eagle River, and access to the very popular bike path which will take you to Vail and beyond.

Located on Highway 6, is the Riverwalk shopping center, that you might say is the “Edwards town center.” A movie theatre, an array of restaurants, a bookstore, a hotel, a plethora of shops – from sports to jewelry, clothing to grocery and liquor – can be found here. Additionally, you will find banks, cleaners, salons, a park and various other niche services. Situated on the Eagle River, Riverwalk also has a small grassy, venue for summer entertaining.

In fact, within walking distance of Riverwalk, you will find every service imaginable including more restaurants, physicians, a drugstore, gas stations and the post office.

Within Edwards, the Homestead neighborhood is a family friendly community offering combination of single-family, townhouse and multi-family homes, and is surrounded by over 400 acres of magnificent open space with hiking and biking trails, and pocket parks. The recently renovated Homestead Court Club is a health and racquet club at the center of the community, offering over 37,000 square feet that includes two indoor and six outdoor tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts, weight room, fitness studio and childcare.

Singletree, another popular neighborhood within Edwards, is a golf-course community on the north side of town. The Sonnenalp is a private golf and country club within Singletree, offering its residents a Tom Weiskopf designed golf course, tennis courts, pools, health club, and a bar and restaurant. Comprised of mostly single family homes and duplexes, quiet streets, and incredible south-facing views, Singletree is one of the largest neighborhoods in the valley.

Edwards is truly a center for all the surrounding neighborhoods. In the summer, the Saturday farmers’ market is an attraction for guests and locals alike, and the various events from music to wine tasting dinners held at the area’s restaurants keep the area humming with activity. Combine this with the year-round vitality of local schools, the Vail Valley Medical Center, the Shaw Regional Cancer Center and Colorado Mountain College and you will soon agree with what many locals already know—that there truly is a vibrant life beyond the ski towns.
